I am absolutely sorry to bother you but I have spent the last 5 years of my life intrigued by something I heard in a game called DRIV3R. In this game you have a virtual representation of Istanbul and when you go by a Mosque you can hear a sort of song and the thing is, I don´t understand the tiniest bit of what they are saying.

I have even tried to learn a bit of Turkish but I don´t know if that is even something, I don´t know if its just a mumbling of nonsense, if it is even in Turkish or if it is some kind of prayer.

Please help me translate this if you can! I want to know what they are saying in Turkish and its translation to English. I posted this on youtube so here is the link:

I really don´t know why but this "song" has intrigued me so much... I have spent hours hearing Istanbul calls to prayer on youtube but I never found anything alike, I just want to find out what they are saying, if they are saying anything with a meaning at all! Thank you and sorry for bothering you with something completely out of context!

It sounds like someone is reciting a chapter from Quran. However I can´t tell which part.

Is Turkish the language they are speaking? Can you tell me a way to find out what this is?

No, it is Arabic. The only way you can find the chapter he is reading is to find a person who memorized the Quran, or someone who can understand Arabic so he can help you find the chapter.

OK someone told me that, it was not from Quran. Might be a pray. Because the quality is not good, it is hard to say what it is.

i think its a part of quran recitation that was cut (maybe few seconds long) n repeated, thus, even though its arabic, it does not really make sense. i would try to find clips of egyptian quran reciters to try to get the similar sound. after that, you can recognize which part of the recitation it was taken from...
