The correct translation is:

"Caminin dışında olduğumuzda söyleyeceğim."

"Caminin dışında ne zaman olacağımızı" is correct but it is not how we would say it.. it should be "camiden ne zaman çıkacağımızı".. as for the predicate.. why present continuous?

Quote:scalpel

.. as for the predicate.. why present continuous?

Because...someone or something whispered me that present continuous is often used for future events also, especially if they are planned and scheduled. It sometimes takes the place of the English future. But obviously not here.

Quote:cemiroz

"Caminin dışında olduğumuzda söyleyeceğim."

But cemiroz´s sentence I have already conserved in my handbag. This use of participle I could never have thought of myself.

No, not often  and not here ..often with verbs having future significance in their present continuous use..

İşe başlıyorum, İstanbul´a gidiyorum, Ankara´ya geliyorum, etc...

The future significance in such sentences is so dominant that we may need to add "şimdi", "şu anda" to underline that "we are doing the action right now"..

Şu anda İstanbul´a gidiyorum. Şimdi Ankara´ya geliyorum.

But even if you add such things to "başlıyorum", it still is "future"..

Şimdi yazmaya başlıyorum. Şu anda pişirmeye başlıyorum, etc..

These don´t have future significance:

Sana söylüyorum. Yemek yiyorum. Kitap okuyorum, Televizyon seyrediyorum.etc..

Even if you add "yarın", "haftaya", "iki saat sonra" etc, they hardly become "future"..

Some may become "future" when adding a word used for future:

Akşam ne yapıyorsun? Yarın kuru fasülye pişiriyorum..

Future significance. That´s easy to remember. Thank you, scalpel.
