I am told that the correct translation of;

"The man who reads the book is his father"

is the following;

"Kitap okuyan adam onun babasidir"

Shouldn´t it be Kitabi...etc. since the the book is the object of what is being read ?

Obviously there is something about the object marker I am not following.

"The man who reads the book is his father"

"Kitabı okuyan adam onun babasidir"

or shortly

"Kitabı okuyan babası"

Here, there is a certain book we talk about.

---

"The man who reads a book is his father"

"Kitap okuyan adam onun babasidir"

Now, there is only an ordinary any book we talk about.
