BEN SENI SEVDIM MI?

Ben seni sevdim mi? Sevdim, kime ne
Tuttum, ta içime oturttum seni
Aldım, okşadım saçlarını, öptüm
İçtim yudum yudum güzelliğini
Ben seni sevdim mi? Sevdim elbette
Bendeydi özlemlerin en korkuncu
Çıldırırdım sen ne kadar uzaksan,
Aşk değil, hiç doymayan bir şeydi bu
Ben seni sevdim mi? Sevdim doğrusu
Sevdikçe tamamlandım, bütünlendim
Biri vardı ağlayan; gecelerce
Biri vardı sana tutkun; o bendim
Ben seni sevdim mi? Sevdim, en büyük
En solmayan güller açtı içimde
Ömrümü değerli kılan bir şeydin
Sen benim bozbulanık gençliğimde
Ben seni sevdim mi? Sevdim, öyle ya
Bir çizgiye vardım seninle beraber
Ve bir gün orada yitirdim seni

Ümit Yaşar Oğuzcan

it is not exactly a love poem, I would suggest you write what you want to him in english and if he does not understand , dump him it is not the worth the hassle having a love that can not speak the same language or share the same culture. Don´t send a poem unless you know the true meaning of it or he might dump you

I wish people would understand what a power one´s own words have, no matter how inadequate or unpoetic they sound.

I totally agree. Just say "seni mutlamak istiyorum", and await the reaction Most likely first laughter, then a smile and a display of love. Your own words and mistakes are the best, and they will bring you closer.

(The correct words are "seni mutlu etmek istiyorum", but how was I to know? )
