Im want to start read about the quran because im thinking about beeing a muslim.. But im really curious what the quran say about when people lie? Anybody who know?

lying is forbiden generally even if it is a joke.

"O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth."

(33, Al-Ahzab/ 70 )


also following a lie is forbidden too.

"And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not, etc.) that of which you have no knowledge (e.g. one´s saying: "I have seen," while in fact he has not seen, or "I have heard," while he has not heard). Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you will be questioned (by Allah)."
(17, Al-Isra / 36)

thank you.. i think this is really exciting. How does it say in turkish, when you put the english word the turkish? I have been ivolved in a lie i have not done, from a muslim man who reads the quran.. im in chock!
