3.2 million foreign tourists came to Turkey in the first quarter of 2012 and the majority of them were from Germany while the least were from Israel.
According to the figures of TurkStat, Turkey earned 2.03 billion US dollars from foreign tourists between January and March, 2012.
296.1 million of Turkey´s tourism income in the first quarter of 2012 came from the Germans while 8.3 million USD came from Israeli tourists.
In the first quarter of 2012, 1.7 million foreign tourists chose Turkey for entertainment, tours, sports and cultural activities.
Foreign tourists who came to Turkey for religious reasons in the first quarter of 2012 constituted 0.28 percent of the total figure.
