The National Geographic has decided to organize its annual donors trip to Turkey next year and to shoot more documentaries about Turkey.
   

WASHINGTON (AA) - June 19, 2012 - One of the largest non-profit scientific and educational institutions in the world, the National Geographic has decided to shoot more documentaries about Turkey.

National Geographic magazine´s committee members visited Turkey´s eastern provinces of Kars and Igdir under a program organized by Cagan Sekercioglu, the head of North Nature Association and a lecturer at Utah University´s Department of Biology.
"The National Geographic has decided to organize its annual donors trip to Turkey next year and to shoot more documentaries about Turkey," Sekercioglu told AA correspondent in an exclusive interview. 
Sekercioglu said people extending financial and other support to National Geographic would join the visit expected to take place in the fall of 2013.
Eastern Anatolia Region would be included in the program, as well as Istanbul, Cappadoccia and the Mediterranean, Sekercioglu said.
Sekercioglu said he hoped the National Geographic would assume a significant role in promotion of Eastern Anatolia Region.
