ok, you know in turkish that a female virgin will be called "kız" and a female who is not a virgin will be called "kadın"...

well, is that the same for men? does the way erkek and adam is used make this statement also?

No, erkek is always erkek. Just maybe to explain that he's virgin, you can say "bakir erkek", but it's very rarely used since noone is interested if they're virgin.

For kız, kadın, you're right, but even if a girl isn't virgin, she is still called "kız" unless you want to especially mean that she has lost her virginity. Usually it's more about the age and marriage. After marriage, the woman is called "kadın". And even if she's not married but not too young anymore (over 30 ), then she's also called "kadın"

Quoting Kadir37:

My friend has a babygirl. And her gender is "Kadın" on identification card.
If you speak about genders as official you can say only "Erkek" and "Kadın". You can not see "Kız" as gender on identification card.

what about adam?

Quoting Kadir37:

you can not know by word "adam" or "erkek" he is virgin or not.
There is a phrase: "Erkeğin dulu olmaz."

hmm okey
i was just wondering coz i might say to a cousin of mine, when he acts like a kid, who is about 12:
"napıosun öle be.. genç bi adamsın.. çocukluk yapma" hehe i didnt want to be understood wrong and then let people thnk that i thnk he has well.. you know..
