What should be taught as a second foreign language in Turkish schools?

They generally teach us German as the second foreign language. I don´t understand this. What is the use of it? I think they should teach Arabic. I accept English as the language of western civilisation, Arabic as the language of İslam civilisation. We should learn both of them. Because we are under the influence of both of them. Teaching German has no purpose.

A wise opinion, gokuyum. See how the world is today but keep in mind also where you come from.

English is essential. I have many times come accross the opinion that real language proficiency begins after English.
