Which one is better

                      Konuşacak bir şey yok OR

                      Konuşulacak bir şey yok  ?

Is there a difference in the meaning? What if it was a possessive costruction, for instance şeyimiz?

No difference in meaning (also with possessive construction). That said, the first one is one syllable shorter so is more likely to be preferred by natives (though I´d prefer the second one personally).

Edit:

No difference in meaning but of course when you don´t mean:
Konuşacak bi şey yok = There is nothing that will speak.

You know, I think participles and infinitives are more ergative in Turkish than finite forms. There is more flexibility between active and passive. In finite forms you don´t see it so often.

Bu konu bana Emre Altuğ´un şarkısını hatırlattı;

Gidecek yerim mi var?
Diyecek sözüm mü var?

Bak yine kader sessizce örmüş ağları
Biçare gönül uzanmıyor ki kolları
Hep kara haber getirdi yaz yağmurları
Senden bihaber geçer mi ömrün kalanı?

Karanlıklar içinden gün doğar ya aniden,
Belki öyle can bulur yarım kalan hikayemiz..
Gidecek yerim mi var?
Diyecek sözüm mü var?
Bunu eller anlamaz sana ihtiyacım var

My Try:

Bak yine kader sessizce örmüş ağları
Biçare gönül uzanmıyor ki kolları
Hep kara haber getirdi yaz yağmurları
Senden bihaber geçer mi ömrün kalanı?

Look, destiny has knitted its nets again silently
Such a poor heart, arms do not reach. (This line is not clear to me.)
Summer rains brought only bad news.
Am I going to spend the rest of my life unaware of you?

-----------------------------

Karanlıklar içinden gün doğar ya aniden,
Belki öyle can bulur yarım kalan hikayemiz..
Gidecek yerim mi var?
Diyecek sözüm mü var?
Bunu eller anlamaz sana ihtiyacım var

The sun rises all of a sudden from darkness
Maybe our story which was cut in the middle will come to life again the same way.
Do I have a place to go?
Do I have a word to say?
That is what hands don’t understand. I need you.

That is what other people don’t understand. I need you.

the word "el" in this context means " other people", "people that are stranger to us"

"people that we dont know"  " other people except our relatives"
