Why did you use past tense?

Your sentence translates to I didn´t like ice cream.

Dondurma sevmem. or Dondurma sevmiyorum. would be a better translation in my opinion.

brother: erkek kardeş, if older than you: abi (ağabey)

sister: kız kardeş, if older than you: abla

but...

in daily convesations nobodys says erkek or kız kardeşim if the gender is not important.

we just say: "kardeşim dondurmaya bayılır"

if we need to emphasize the gender, then we use "erkek..." or "kız..."
