Greek Cypriots are dead against the idea of a Turkish water supply to the island and they demand the Greek Government to count the number of available pipes in Greece and confirm whether or not there are enough pipes to lay from Greece to Southern Cyprus, in retaliation.

İn reality Greek Cypriots oppose conveyance of water from Turkia, because they suspect the Turks will use the revenues to buy up the Greek side of the island.
