Inscrutable, here are some points that may help you and other learners when you use için.

When you use pronouns (I, you, he/she/it, we, this, that) with için (for), the genitive form of the pronoun is used in Turkish.

For example

Benim için = for me

Senin için = for you

Onun için = for him/her/it, for that

Bizim için = for us

Sizin için = for you (plural or formal)

Bunun için = for this

Kimin için = for whom (singular)

But when using pronouns with the lar/ler plural suffix, the genitive suffix is not used.

Onlar için = for them, for those

Bunlar için = for these

Kimler için = for whom (plural)

The same rules apply for the use of gibi (like)

Benim gibi = like me
