just coming to the end of another fantastic visit here. my turkish is slowly improving and have had alot of help from the locals.i can now talk a little about myself and deal with situations in shops, restaurants etc. i will take lessons when i get home to england at the local college to work on my grammar.

i dont think there is anyone on this site who lives here but maybe some have come over to visit. there are many things to improve here. the water shortages and power cuts are annoying and of course there is the dust!!! but if it was perfect i dont think i would come back.but it is the people who are so nice and helpful. They have time for you.And making an effort to speak turkish makes life easier and more fun.

overall n cyprus is a lovely place to be with breathtaking scenery and relaxed atmosphere.recommend a visit to anyone and i am looking forward in the future to travelling round Turkey

Hi Jhonk

Me and my husband absolutely love noth cyprus. We visited in 2003 and it has to be one of the best places we have stayed. your right the people are so friendly and wecoming. Its not a busy place and thats what makes it even more special - however i think in years to come it will become much like all the other over crowded resorts which will spoil its beauty.

yes you may be right. alot of building going on and so much since 2003. you would see a difference. but still many lovely areas areas outside kyrenia and nicosia without any construction. i believe the government are trying to cut down on the number of new building projects so it is not spoilt.
