These sentences are from different sources:

Bu Kral çok renkli elbiseleri vardı.

Osman, namı-ı diğer Genç Osman, tahta geçtiğinde 6 erkek kardeşi vardı.

Where is the genitive ending?

Bu Kralın çok renkli elbiseleri vardı.

Osman, namı-ı diğer Genç Osman, tahta geçtiğinde (onun) 6 erkek kardeşi vardı.

There is a dropped pronoun in this sentence. no genitive ending here.

Thank you, Teach-er.

The genitive must show in some place unless in a dropped pronoun, good to know I was not imagining things.

Quote:Osman, namı-ı diğer Genç Osman, tahta geçtiğinde (onun) 6 erkek kardeşi vardı.

it is a compound sentence.

Osman -nam-ı diğer Genç Osnan- tahta geçti.

O zaman Osman´ın 6 erkek kardeşi vardı.

as we see in the second sentence, dropped pronoun is part of it.

and in the first sentence there is no linked word to add genitive

Yes I can see it now. What is confusing here is that the pronoun could be dropped even though it had a job to do (to carry the genetive marking).

Yes but possesive suffix is still there.
