There are three different aspects about indirect speech:

1. Reported narration

                        "Ali eve gitti." > Ali´nin eve git|tiğ|i|n|i söyledi. *)

2. Reported commands

"Ali eve gitsin." > Ali´nin eve git|me|si|n|i söyledi.

3. Reported questions

                         "Ali eve gitti mi?" > Ali´nin eve gid|ip git|me|diğ|i|n|i sordu. *)

OR Ali eve gitti mi sordu.

In indirect speech the subject takes genitive. Always.

*) Istead of -DIK- there may be -AcAK- here when talk is about future.

Type "indirect" or "reported" to the search box above and you will find several detailed explanations, HaNNo. These seemed nice to me:

Afiyet olsun. A giant pizza is exactly what is going to make your mind clear enough for this issue.
