That´s  it, You gave the answer of your own question. There are always stereotypical people in every country. Yes, Turkish and Serbian people can be friends , since we have historic ties. ! And you yourself can play a role on this mission. You are a good person Nemanja. And I want to see you become a Turkologist in the future  as you are a clever young man.

Yes I really love that. .Even some people don´t agree with me,I love Turkey,Turk people and I think we should Ottoman empire, you war in Bosnia, and we should live in future, not in past... But most sad thing is that most of them who hate between each other don´t even know a history, they never opened a book, but they ´´heard´´ that somewhere... That´s really sad. Here, most people don´t think bad about Turkey,we love Turkey and Turkish language,Serbian page for Suleiman has a 41.000 fans..

I´m sorry, but I had to ask. That´s really important to me,I mean,if Turks gonna hate me,I´ll stop learning Turkish. And I don´t agree with you totally, but I won´t tell my opinion, because I don´t like fights. I fight every day with someone,I don´t need to fight here too... Never mind.
Turkish is most difficult language in my area and if could be problems,it would be better for me to learn some easier language like Spanish or French or Russian. You can´t imagine my desire to learn Turkish, but as I said, I don´t know is that good idea for me,should I waste my time for that language, and then when I go to Turkey and Turks could despise me....

You have about 600 Turkish words in your language and i´m thinking it´s advantage for you. I don´t know, why that topic started tonight in here, but we Turks have no problem with any nation in the world. Yes, we are showing our reactions for somethings, but it doesn´t mean we hate from them. It´s my opinion and it´s up to you at least.

Being a good person is the most important thing. I would always prefer a good Serbian to a bad Turk.

I already opened this topic, but no one noticed.
Well,I´m from Serbia,as you probably know.
And I wanna know more about relationship between Serbia and Turkey.
And what Turks think about Serbs? Do they hate us?
I´m still a child,so,of course,I don´t know so much about it. This is really important for me to know...
Every opinion is welcome !

Nemanja.

In 1402, Battle of Ankara, 85000 strong Serbs commanded by the Serbian King Stephan Lazereviç himself fought against Timur, on the side of the Ottoman Empire. Lazereviç was also the brother-in-law of the Ottoman Sultan Yıldırım Bayezit.

Timur won the battle. Ottoman army was devastated including their Serbian allies. Most of the Serbians who remained alive never returned back to Serbia. They settled around what is Ankara or Yozgat today and integrated with the local residents.

Prejudices  -  real or imagined  -  seem to have been an issue in the classroom discussions recently. Every nationality wants to know if Turks love them or not. Come on, as if any one of us really believed we are loved or hated not because of what we are but because of where we come from. Nemanja, if a jerk called you names because your nationality why do you pay attention to this person just like the thirty Turks who were friendly and helpful were an exception and he was the rule. Think. It is you who decides how important his statement is.

Thinking of ourselves as victims of this and victims of that does not take us very far. Neither does being too much dependent on other peoples likes and dislikes.
