i think it is a respond to the 1st chapter, 5th verse of quran. At that time people get the message, nowadays it is really hard to solve it.
You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). (Allahım!) Yalnız sana ibadet ederiz ve yalnız senden yardım dileriz.
There is a difference between doing your own job with God´s help...and expecting God to do everything for you !
God does not like lazy buggers.

I agree with you but only partly. For reasons that are too hard for us humans to understand, Allah may show mercy on a beggar.
