no, because then you have to prelong the "a". we don´t say "kitaaap". For "kitâbe" you are right but for "kitap´, that "a" is no more in usage.

We pronounce all the words of arabic origin wrongly anyway, not only kitap. if you want, you could say "kitaaab" in your daily life.
