I´m having difficulty understanding sentences about "before" and "after." For example: "On dokuz yirmiden önce geliyor," or "Uyumadan önce kitap okuyor." The word order does not make sense to me. If anyone can try to help me understand, I would appreciate it very much.

Uyumadan önce kitap okuyor.
He/she reads a book before sleeping.

Yirmi ondokuzdan sonra geliyor.
Tweny comes after nineteen.
