hope you are good and good thing never die

this sentence misspelled. my try:

hope is a good thing and good thing(s) never die..

Umut iyi birşeydir ve iyi şeyler asla ölmez.
Ümit güzel birşeydir ve güzel şeyler asla ölmez.

Please tell, what is the difference between "umut" and "ümit?" I should know this by now.

From what I read umut is more Turkish in origin, whilst ümit has a connection with Farsi.

Both words mean hope (as nouns) but differences occur when you are using the verb forms.
