Hi everyone,
I would like to thank everyone for this great site, it has helped me a lot as I´ve been trying to learn Turkish on my own for a few months now. I am using the internet and books and this site has helped me a great deal. I have some difficulties but a big one really is that I sometimes understand every single word but cannot understand the meaning of the sentence. Would anyone tell me with how to approach the Turkish sentence in terms of meaning or translation. What should I first look at in the sentence to try to get the meaning. A sentence like ´herkes aynı hayatta´ for instance means (as I looked it up) ´everyone is equal in life´, but why isn´t it ´everyone has the same life´. What is the first thing to look at while translating and then how to continue with the sentence to get it all right. I hope that I am clear. Please give examples, thank you.

everyone has the same life- herkesin aynı hayatı var.
herkes - everyone , aynı - equal(the same) , hayatta- in the life.
