Until the end of WW2 that area was called  ´´Vardaska´´ and afterwards was a Yugoslavia area. Εven during Ottoman rule  there was no macedonian ethnicity there. They were Bulgarians the majority of them.

Makedon - Somebody from "Makedonya" Republic (i.e. FYROM)

Makedonca - The Slavic language where they speak (akin to Bulgarian)

That´s what it is in Turkish.

Quoting Efi70

I agree, but as a well educated person that i know you are ,iam sure you know that there is no other Macedonia than Greek one. Macedonia is a greek area since 3.000 BC . Iam not nationalist as you know, but the historical truth should be always told.

Efi , I am talking about the present time " Republic of Macedonia" which was before called the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia [ and as Si++ said FYROM].

I know you are not nationalist but If you come up with this idea then a Macedonian will come up and say the different opposite things and the discussion will easily turn into a Nationalist one.
