Could someone please help me. I have two friends that are just engaged.  Are there any customary expressions in Turkish for this. And what do they mean in english.

if not...what is usually said to the woman and the man?

Any help would be appreciated. teşekkür ederim

Just say ´Tebrik ederim´. Simple and easy.

Whatever words of congratulations you eventually decide use, just make sure the couple is  still engaged first !

Quoting insallah

Hayırlı olsun.

Too religious!!

Another simple but elegant one will be  "Mutluluklar dilerim".
