Using them as  ´verbal´  you can say  --->

" verme” or “ veriş "     or  even "vermek"

  " alma "  or  " alış "  or   "almak"

   Anahtarı  bana  vermen   lazım ---->  You  need to give  me  the key.

   Bana selam  verişi  hoşuma gidiyor --->  I like  her /his  [giving me greeting] greeting me.

  I  like  the way  he/she greets  me.

    Sana  bir  sır  vermek  istiyorum.  ---->  I want to  give  you  a secret.

       Ona  gönderdiğim mektubu  alması   zaman  alır  ---->  Her   receiving  the letter I sent to her will take  time.

       Yanlış  yere  park  etmesi  ceza alışına sebep olabilir. --->  His/her  parking in the wrong place may cause him/her receive a penalty.

          Bugün  kötü  bir  haber  almak  istemiyorum.  ---->  I don´t  want to receive  bad news today.

if  you receive post or money, you can also use the verb " teslim  almak", then the verbal form of  it would  be same as the others  " teslim  alma" , " teslim alış"  or "teslim almak "

What is the motivation of using IŞ infinitive instead of one of the others? In one of tunci´s sentences selam verişi has been translated "the way she greets me". Could we generalize that meaning? Would selam vermesi do the same job here or would the meaning change into something like ´the fact that she greets me´?
