Is it in small pots and does it have small leaves? Then it must be basil. Otherwise, show us a picture

Hello Faruk, yes, it looks like basil. But why do people rub the top of it? Is it for good luck? I have a Turkish friend who does this, but he couldn´t say where custom comes from. (I thought by rubbing the plant it releases the scent and keeps the mosquitoes away)?

They rub it so its scent will be released. That´s it. There´s no superstition or anything.

If it is really basil, I´ve heard it is some aphrodisiac in Turkey and in Arab countries. So, they maybe want to be more attractive?))
