i don't know too much about this word,but for example if someone is ill you can say neyin var?=what's wrong with you?
I asked my wife about this she said it is like a prompt
to give more information about a persons personal situation.
another example i could say;
ben zenginim=i'm wealthy/rich,to which the person that i said it too could then say neyin var?=what do you own that makes you so wealthy?/how are you so wealthy?
I know it's a little bit of a clumsy explanation,but it's the best i could think of,maybe a more experienced translator could expand a little?

Neyin var= what do you have(directly translation)
it means: "what's up?"
or: "are you ok?"
ne: what
neyin: your what
bu, senin neyin oluyor: what of yours is this?
like: "who is this, and what is the relationship between you and him?"
bu isim: this name...
