Now my this is my try from English to Turkish:

sizi rahatsız ettığım için özür dilerim. Gozüm ısırıyor gibi sankı. Yanıt için teşekkür ederim. (name of place)´lıyım

Would (´lıyım´ be correct when saying where I am from/living (presently) or is there another way to say this? I know I could say, ´(name of place)´de/da yaşıyorum but what would be more ´proper´ so to speak.

Please I am still only a beginner in Turkish and trying to get my head around so many suffixes and the fact of writing backward to english.

-li olmak is more about the hometown / homeland, the original place of yours.

I was born in Eskişehir, so I say Eskişehirliyim. But I haven´t been living in Eskişehir for a long time.

The proper (or more popular) way to talk about where you live is ´oturmak´

So in thıs case, I am saying; Ankara´da oturuyorum. 

But if you are talking about the country more, ´yaşamak´ is the best way to use.

For example, my friend was born ın Gaziantep but he lives in Germany now. So he says: Gaziantepliyim, Almanya´da yaşıyorum.

Let´s say that he wants to tell the city he lives, he can say:

Berlin´de oturuyorum.

And now I am living in a city called Liverpool so I would say: Liverpool´da oturuyorum

unfortunately i cannot help to correct you, but i just wanted to say i understand how you feel learning. when i read turkish i begin reading at the end of the sentence because as you mention it is backwards to english. i know the verb and person are at the end of the sentence so thats where i begin best of luck learning. i take lessons for 2 hours one time a week. i wish i had more time but slowly i learn. a little bit each day i learn something, which is good enough for me so far
