Everyone seems to be shy to comment it but I am hopeful. Let´s see what the autumn brings, I think people´s mind is somewhere else now.

This is how I imagine it:

Those who come from far away would all stay in one hotel, basic level, moderately priced but good location. This would give the chance for spontaneous togetherness and discussions.

Three planned events, organized beforehand:

1. A sightseeing tour, hopefully a fresh view of Istanbul, one of our Turkish friends could be the guide.

2. Theatre/concert.

3. Dinner.

There seems to be as many as five weekends in March 2014. They are all the same to me, just suggest any time. Is there anything special in the Turkish calendar in March?

it is a very good plan Abla

I use to stay in Gülhane - Sirkeci area, because is very close to harbour, the tram is in front of us, you can get very quick at metro or everywhere you want; I have 2-3 favorite hotels here, very nice, no expensive, with good quality of services and very very nice stuff...I know, many of us preffer Taksim area for hotels, but me..I am not..even I love Taksim, even is a pleasure for me, everytime,  to climb Yuksek Kaldırım to reach to Taksim, I think is a bit noisy area to spend few nights..

and March is a nice month - this year I was in February last time and the weather was calm, no snow or rain...

so....if you ask me I am saying yes
