Good Morning!
I think my following try is extremely poor. Could you make the necessary correction for me.
T: Tanışsalar çok iyi anlaşacak insanlar var. Ama birbirlerinden haberleri yok. E: There are people who will get along nicely if they meet each other, but their news isn´t that good.
Many thanks!

T: Tanışsalar çok iyi anlaşacak insanlar var. Ama birbirlerinden haberleri yok.
My Try:
There are people who would get along so well if they met. But they do not know of each other.
(I think what confused you is tanışsalar. SA is attached straight to the verb stem which means this action is not real but only envisaged.)

after giving another thought, I believe the overall meaning of the phrase would be like:
there´re ppl who would get along nicely (would suit each other perfecty) if they met, but their future situation (news of each other) wouldn´t be.
True?

I dont see a problem with the tense.

Know or know of? Which one is correct?
know of is an idiom: ´to be aware of the existence of someone or something´. Here:
http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/know+of
I think "its Turkish" is exactly ´-den haberi olmak´ while know is ´tanımak, bilmek´.

Last thing, Does the fact of not knowing each other imply a positive meaning or just an expression of how rare such a sitiation is?
