Don´t use this suffix. I know they teach you to use it. But I dont understand why they still do it.. We dont use this suffix in this way anymore. We use it for different purposes like:

1. When we define something: Araba benzinle çalışan bir aygıttır. A car is a vehicle that works with gas.

2. When we talk about a scientific fact: Suyun kaynama derecesi 100 C ´ tır. The boiling degree of water is 100 C.

3. When we guess something: Herhalde eve gitmiştir. I guess she went to home.
