I tried to put together a translation of this letter myself, but got so confused in complex sentence structure syntax that I wasn´t sure any of the original meaning was coming through in the translation. I only know the very basics of Turkish language.
I recently stayed with a Turkish friend´s family and would like to send them a thank you note stating the following (I replaced all formal nouns with initials and dash lines):
I hope you have all had a safe and plesant return to B---. Firstly, I want to say that the wedding for Z--- and C--- was beautiful. I thank you for allowing me to stay in your home while in A--- and join you family for the wonderful tour of K--- and the peaceful day at the ranch. I am grateful as well to your neighbor for allowing a stranger to stay in her home during the days of the wedding. I also want to pass my thanks to Z---´s grandmother and grandfather for opening their home to us in I---. G---, I hope you were able to have a productive trip in G--- and a safe return home. S---, I thank you for the shoes from the wedding. They are very beautiful. You are kind to have given them to me. I wish the best of luck to M--- in her academic endevours. Please give my sincerest wishes to N--- that he is recovering well from his treatment. Please also tell B--- that I thank her for her help fitting the dress for the wedding. I do wish I had been more able to express myself with you all in Turkish while I was visiting your beautiful country. Best wishes and Thank you again.
I know that this message is a bit long. I am very grateful to anyone who can help me to send a proper thank you note. Çok teşekkür ederim!
