1. Anno domini is M.S. "milattan sonra".

What is the Turkish abbreviation of Anno hijri? H.S.?

2. According to an article I am reading the Istanbul 1894 earthquake was called 1310 zelzelesi because it happened "Rumi 1310 yılında". I wonder which chronology is that.

M. Ö. : Milattan Önce

M. S. : Milattan Sonra

"Milat" means birth in arabic and in ottoman turkish. Here means the birth of jesus.

There were two more calendar system before 1925.

Rumi: Starts from 622 and uses the Sun based system as we use today. 1 year equals 365 days

Hijri: Starts from 622 and uses the Moon based system. 1 year equals 354 or 355 days.

Abbreviation for rumi and hijri is not common, use its longest form. If you still want to use, use H. Ö. and H. S.: Hicretten önce ve hicretten sonra

You can convert any year online on various websites:

People born before 1925 have interesting date of birth and date of death on their gravestones because of the calendar change as seen in many graveyards in turkey.

formally rumi calendar was in use before 1925.
