As for the information part …

A Jordanian publishing house, Dar Al-Thaqafa, has recently released the Arabic translation of the Turkish novel «Cellat Mezarligi» written by the Turkish journalist and writer Asli E. Perker (source: here).

I don’t know where to place Ms. Perker amongst the rich constellation of Turkish writers. It seems however that she might be indeed a promising talent. Ms. Perker graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, American Studies Department at Dokuz Eylul University. She started her writing career at an ad agency as a copy writer and then turned to journalism.

She worked at Aktuel News Magazine and Radikal, Yeni Binyil and Sabah Newspapers. After relocating to New York in 2001, she worked as a translator/interpreter and started focusing on her literature career. Her first novel, Baskalarinin Kokusu was published in 2005. Her second novel Cellat Mezarligi followed in 2009. Her latest novel Sufle came out in February 2011. She still continues to write for various magazines and newspapers and currently lives in Istanbul (source: here)

As per the request, it would be nice if someone told us what he/she thinks about Ms. Perker’s style originality and creativity. How good a writer is she?
