Hello, I saw on the conjugator that both following structures are correct:

ben yaz-dı-y-sam      If I wrote

 ben yaz-sa-y-dım      If I wrote

is there any difference between the two ? would one be more in use than the other ?

thank you

and similiarly:

 mış  &  sa :

ben yaz-mış-sam     It´s said that if I have written

ben yaz-sa-ymışım              It is said that if I had written

is there a difference ?

 thanks

there is a small nuance.

ben yaz-dı-y-sa-m      If I wrote i would write like that, check it and see whether i wrote it or not. I might write it or not.

ben yaz-sa-y--m      I didnt write it but If I wrote, i would write such and such.

SA, when attached straight to the verb stem, always gives the meaning of an unreal, imagined condition or a wish.

                           ben yazsaydım... ´if I had written´ (= I did not write)

                           ben yazsaydım! ´I wish I had written´ (= I did not write)
