Hello.

Please help me with this phrase:

"Zamanı cebimizde gibi harcayıp

Yükünü sırtımıza vuruyoruz"

I think I don´t get the point of the comparison "as (like) in the pocket"...

We waste the time as in our pocket and sling its burden over our back

Is it the right translation? I generally don´t waste anything in my pocket

We spend [waste]  the time as if it is in our pocket. [ it is a figurative expression , we spend [waste] "time" so easily as if it is in our pocket. And we carry [put] its burden on our back.

agree. Think of it like "wasting something" = "spending it freely as if you have lots and lots of" = "spending it easily as if your pockets are so full of it you don´t have to be careful how you spend it".
