oynamak ever used with instruments?

Merhaba.
Recently I´ve been told that there are situations when you can use "oynamak" in the sense of playing on a musical instrument (instead of çalmak). Is that true? If so, can you describe the examples, please?

i dont think it is true..so ot can be misusing.."çalmak" is the true one

"Oynamak" to be used for " to play a musical instrument ? ---> NO [ At least I haven´t heard " those situtations" in my life ]

in english
you can play a guitar
a child can play with his toys.
in turkish
gitar çalabilirsin.
çocuk oyuncağıyla oynar.
in rare stuations, "gitarla oynayabilirsin", this shows that you dont know how to play it and you treat that musical instrument as a child´s toy! hitting its strings ramdomly and making random sounds.

Benim bildiğim bütün muzik enstrumanları "çalınır". Ney bir istisnadır; ney "üflenir".
Başka istisnalar bilen var mı ?

what about the other types of flutes or trumpets..which verb it used
çalmak or üflemek
ahh..buldum ben 
flüt çalmak...

It is interesting to note that Turkish language considers radio, tape player, record player etc. as musical instruments too. They are all "çalınır".
