Meaning of ´halini´

Can anyone tell me the translation for this word in the following dialogue?

"Keşke görebilseydin!  Yeterince parası yoktu zannediyorum!  Halini görseydin gülerdin."

I understand it as ´If only you could have seen!  I don´t think he had enough money!  If you had seen, you would have laughed´ but don´t see how the word ´halini´ fits (I know it´s not a proper name).
