Merhaba.
Let´s imagine a situation when I was on a trip and I am coming back home driving through a highway. Then a pal of mine sends me a message asking where I am, and I want to let him know I´m approaching the city, because now I am exiting the highway.
How do I say "I am exiting the highway right now"?
Şimdi otoyoldan çıkıyorum? Şimdi otoyolu bırakıyorum? or else?

Şimdi otoyoldan çıkıyorum? Şimdi otoyolu bırakıyorum? or else?
"Şimdi -or şu an - otoyoldan çıkıyorum "is ok.

Thanks. I really believed it should be all right, but I entered this phrase into google searchbox in quotation marks (for literal phrase search) and it gave very few results, so I wanted to make sure

Funny I also often use this method. If the phrase is established it probably gives many hits. Not a hundred per cent sure but useful for a quick check.

It´s çıkıyorum. And the exit you come off of is also called a çıkış.
