İngilizcede bilmediğim bir kalıp var. Eğer İngilizcesi daha iyi olan bir arkadaşın yardımıyla öğrenebilirsem, Türkçede nasıl ifade edildiğiyle ilgili bir ders yazacağım. (There is a pattern I don´t know in English. If I can learn it by the help of a friend whose English is better, I´ll write a lesson about how to express it in Turkish.)

Kalıbın adını bilmiyorum; örnek cümle vererek göstereceğim. (I don´t know the pattern´s name, I´m going to show it giving example sentences.)

birincisi.. the(sooner/bigger/more..etc) the better

what time shall we leave? the sooner the better.. (ne kadar çabuk çıkarsak o kadar iyi)

when you are travelling the less luggage you have the better( seyahat ederken ne kadar az bagajın olursa o kadar iyi)

ikincisi.. the.. the.. bir şey diğerine bağlı olduğunda

the younger you are, the easier it is to learn(ne kadar gençsen o kadar kolay öğrenirsin)

the longer you work, the more you earn( ne kadar uzun süre çalışırsan , o kadar çok kazanırsın)

the taller someone is, the better she/he can play basketball(bir insan ne kadar uzunsa o kadar iyi basketbol oynayabilir)
