What does olup mean here?

Whenever you see up/ip suffixes on verbs, you have to read the whole sentence to get the meaning, as this suffix is used to shorten the verb where the same subject and verb tense is involved.

Both of the predicates have been conjugated into the first singular person´s future tense.

Yemek yiyeceğim ve dışarı çıkacağım. (I´m going to eat and go out. (direct: I´m going to eat a meal and go outside.))

First sentence´s predicate is "yemek" (to eat)

yiyeceğim---make it nominative again-----yemek

yemek------remove the infinitive sfx.-----ye

ye+ip------ye+y+ip---yi+y+ip------------yiyip

Yemek yiyeceğim ve dışarı çıkacağım.

Yemek yiyip çıkacağım. (I´m going to eat and then go out.)

The first sentence´s predicate is a noun but it makes no difference. The verb is "olmak (to be)" there. That´s to say, "is".

This knowledge locates in an encyclopedia, therefore it´s needed to make it more official. We need to -dir to do it.

Even if there wasn´t "-dir", the verb was "olmak" again.
