Merhaba.

Please tell me whether or not my understanding of this quote is correct:

Quote:

"En büyük suçlar, gerekli olanı değil de fazla olanı elde etmek için işlenir."

 

"The biggest crimes are committed in order to obtain the one which is too much (?) not the one which is necessary".

I would discard "too". Other than that your translation looks handsome
