üzgünüm

afferdersiniz
özür dilerim
I believe afferersiniz is used if you wish go past someone who is in your way.In english we say excuse me
The other two are used as apologies.
Is that correct?
Any other phrases I could use for these situations

böyle olduğu için üzgünüm - I am sorry it happened like this (in this way)...

if I am wrong please correct me...

i am not a native speaker, but i will try to help.

examples:

Seni üzdüğüm için özür dilerim=i am sorry because i make you sad

Beni terkettiğinde çok üzüldüm=i got very sad when you/he/she leave me

Beni terkettiğinde çok üzülüyorum=i become sad everytime you/he/she leave me

Böyle olduğu için üzgünüm=i fell sorry it happened like this

Yeah it means both of that. If you say it to someone you have offended it means you are apologizing.
