Merhab arkdaşlarım.

benim sorum var.

In case of "have to":

I have to go to school  early.

Erken okula gitmem lazim.    in case of positive.

my question. how  is it in case of negative?

I don´t have to go to school late.

Regards

Just add değil to the end of your sentence to negate the statement,

See the lesson here

Just add değil? I don´t think it is always that simple.

So, if "I have to go to school" is "Okula gitmem lazim."

then, "I don´t have to go to school" is "Okula gitmem lazim değil."

No. Yeah, maybe. But not quite. It´s perfectly fine if you are trying to sound like a lecture on logic though.

Here´s what I´d say, as a native:

"Okula gitmem şart değil."

"Okula gitmesem de olur."

"Okula gitmeme gerek yok."

"Okula gitmek zorunda değilim."

Why are these more correct than "okula gitmem lazım değil"? That´s just the way it is, man. I hate to hear this when I´m studying a foreign language, but that´s what it´s ultimately about.

And there´s "okula gitmemem lazım", but that´s a whole other story.
