Hi all,
I hope we are all okay? I am living in the U.K. and am just about to enrol in a 30 week course in Begginers Turkish I already do know a fair amount of words but putting them together in sentances is the main thing that I want to do, I want a level where I can hold a basic conversation with my girlfriend and her family. Please advise on what you would think would be the best course to take. For English people on the site the course is run by Gloscat and is a very comprehensive begginers course

I'm sorry I can't help you, but actually I do wonder why you ask for advice which course to pick after you already have choosen one?

Or aren't you subscribed yet?

Nevertheless I wish you so much luck.. just love to read your stories

hi love the best way to learn is to talk, talk, talk, write write, write, read, read, read, and copy most turkish speakers/writers to the letter, like a parrot if you like.and when you think that you've learned most things about this language go back and do it all againit's long hard frustrating and sometimes painful but, that's turkish all over.I wish you luck with your studies and if you need help then you can always come here.

if you try tomer they do courses on line that last 3 months they do beginners im trying to get intermediate , waiting for e mail reply. its not expensive and consists of grammar, listening reading dictation and you submit work if you finish courses you can sit an exam in ankara, but i agree with others dialogue is the most important, try tomer or distance learning turkish good luck, kendine iyi bak arkadas
