What does ısmarlamak mean, to offer or to request?

What is the real meaning of Allah´a ısmarladık? one person said Allah´a ısmarladık to another, but why he didn´t said Allah´a ısmarladım cause there was not more than one person.

i know you can translate it like good bye, but would be good to know the real meaning

My thoughts: as stated previously it means goodbye, but ısmarlamak means to offer, to entrust,

We entrust you to Allah (to look after you), we offer you to Allah to take care of you. If you look into the English expressions ´goodbye´ or ´bye bye´, we just accept these for what they are.

Like Hoşçakal - Güle Güle (goodbye, go with a smile, go happily)

In the greeting and reply Hoş geldiniz - Hoş bulduk (Welcome - Thank you) the suffix for ´we´ is always used, I have never heard anyone, even if they are by themselves, say ´hoş buldum´.

Sometimes you just have to accept colloquial expressions without looking for logic or complex meanings.
