I want to buy a television for my apartment.

What prices would I expect to pay, and where is the best place to buy. What brand names are best.

save up and buy yourself a tft television, it will double up as a monitor too
futher to this, i will fit in a suitcase and wont be as big and bulky as a normal tv..
if you are going to take one over, do not remove it from its box until there.
the other options you have, are all follows
use a laptop with a tv tuner card, i have bought these new on ebay for about £40, they will work all over the world.
***mine is digital for freeview***
you could also have a freeview box and use it in turkey.
any further queries, just ask

additional info..
as i mentioned before...look on ebay.
but first, if you find something that takes you fancy, always look a the persons feeback rating and amount, a zero rated trader cannot be trusted fully.
any further info, just ask.

also, never bid until the very last minute, bidding beforehand pushed the price up, wait until approximately 2 minutes before the sale is due to end and enter your maximum bid, if you are on dialup,do it about 5 minutes before as your interent response will be lower
