Merhaba tunci,

I don´t understand why there is a double factitive here.

Bence sadece bir ettirgen cümle var.

"You cannot make me do such a thing".

Bana bunu yaptıramazsın.

Why do you had "t"

Merhaba tunci,

I don´t understand why there is a double factitive here.

Bence sadece bir ettirgen cümle var.

"You cannot make me do such a thing".

Bana bunu yaptıramazsın.

Why do you had "t"

Maybe I can explain.

This is a double causative verb.

I caused this to happen (I made this happen)

Bunu yaptırdım.

You caused me to cause this to happen (you made me do this)

Bana bunu yaptırttın.

You cannot cause me to cause this to happen (You can´t make me do this)

Bana bunu yaptırtamazsın.

Some other examples of double causative

Adam öldü. - The man died.

Katıl, adam öldürdü. The murderer killed the man. (caused him to die)

Mafya, katile adamı öldürttü. - The Mafia made the murderer kill the man.

Çocuk doğdu. - The child was born.

Anne, çocuğu doğurdu. - The mother had a baby.

Doktor, anneye çocuğu doğurttu. - The doctor caused (helped) the mother have her baby.

Yemek pişti. - The food cooked.

Annem, yemek pişirdi. - My mother cooked the food.

Ben, anneme yemek pişirttim. - I made my mother cook the food.
