Prayer?

I am wondering what the name of the prayer is...(hard to explain but something is wrapped in black leather and placed around your neck on a string and then you pray something)....what is the name of the black thing??..and also how do you pray for it?

If something leather and string were wrapped around my neck - I would pray that nobody decides to pull it tight!!!

i think u tell about 'seccade' we generally use a seccade to pray up to a clean place..however it doesnt have to be black..there ar veraity of colors of it..

İ dont think its seccade,she says placed arround your neck and its leather.
İ cant imagin what is it,but we dont pray with such a thing in İslam

In Turkey some people wear little amulets (I think the Turkish word for it is a muska. They can be worn around the neck, or pinned onto garments, or hung on the wall. The mostly have verses from the Quran inside. Because it is seen as a sin to get the verses soiled, they are wrapped so as to keep the witten words from getting dirty.

It probably is something like this you have.

Sounds like a nuse, you would then definately need to pray.
