Can someone please tell me the difference between satmak and satılmak ???

If I wanted to ask a shopkeeper if he sold bread......which would I use?
ekmek satırsın mı?
ekmek satılırsın mı?

"satılmak"(to be sold) is in this context the passive form of "satmak". So, you could say:

Ekmek satar mısın? (or, better, with continuous tense, "ekmek satıyor musun?")

Ekmek satılır mı? (or, equally well, with continuous tense, "ekmek satılıyor mu?")

Happy to help you if i understood the background of the piece. Poems dont always work as complete sentences and the english reads just a little off. Where is it from?

Also, if you havent already and like that type of work i would recommend reading "les fleurs du mal" or "the flowers of evil" by charles baudelaire....

Thank you for your reading-recommendation. I already know the "the flowers of evil", but I have here quite a different problem-I need to understand the poem first because I have to translate it into Turkish. So, couldn't you make even some change? a little help?
